Audience Expectations:
This is a very important question. The reader has seen that five stars have been given at the beginning. But what are the reasons behind such a review? Let's talk about that one by one.
The story is based on real events. A year ago, a passenger plane somehow survived bad weather on its way from Doha to Kochi. Ajay Devgan brought that incident to celluloid.
At the center of the story is Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgn). He is both confident and somewhat arrogant. If there is ever a problem at an altitude of more than 35,000 feet, handling it is like a salesman's left-handed game.
And like five ordinary Kejo days, Captain Vikrant is ready to fly Kochi from Doha. But in the middle of the sky suddenly disaster struck. First Officer Tania (Rakul Preet Singh) did not even listen to the thousands. Changed flight alternate destinations to save passengers. Just a few moments before landing, send a May Day message to the control tower. For one hair the plane survived the crash. Investigations into the incident are underway throughout the lion's share of the film.
Now let's look at the picture. The best film so far produced and directed by Ajay Devgan is Runway 34. Ajay has improved himself. There is no doubt that the visual effects of this film are really eye-catching. There is no extra fat in the story. All thanks to Sandeep Kewlani. The screenplay is also tense (Sandeep and Aamil Kenyan Khan). There is no needless love, no melodrama. Another big plus point of this film is the sound and production design.
Screen time is about two and a half hours. 2 hours and 26 minutes. But it will never feel boring. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Ajay Devgn.
However, I am not saying that there are no complaints. It wouldn't have been so bad if the trial session had been a little more dramatic in the second half of the film. Even at the end of the trial, some questions remain in the minds of the viewers. The question remains as to why the captain did not take into account the opinion of the first officer.
It would have been nice to give a little more importance to the character of Bowman Irani. Rakul Preet Singh has tried his best in this film. However, the question remains as to why Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh were not given a bigger role.
All in all, Runway 34 of these invincible gods will succeed in keeping the audience engaged from beginning to end.
